MAG welding process for crane components with "forceARC"

Manitowoc Cranes from Manitowoc/ USA is a worldwide leading crane manufacturer. The factory in Wilhelmshaven/Germany produces mobile and telescopic hydraulic cranes with capacities ranging from 80 to 450 tons (Fig.1). As everywhere in steel construction welding technology is the key production factor – 60% of the total production. The producer has been relying for almost a year on the EWM Hightec Welding process “forceArc“. Considerable time and cost savings in welding and weld preparation are the consequences.
