Utilisation of industrial robots in the repair of individual parts by means of welding technology: Economically viable even with a batch size of one

Reports

In most cases, the prerequisite for the introduction of automated processes is a high throughput of components of the same type. However, pilot lot and just-in-time orders with high variance of the incoming components are characteristic of the “reconditioning business“ which also includes repair by means of welding technology.
