Dr. Ing. Peter Beckhaus

Peter Beckhaus studied electrical engineering with a focus on energy control technology at the Gerhard Mercator University in Duisburg (Dipl.-Ing. degree in 1997). He then worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Electrical Systems and Networks at Duisburg University in the field of simulation and management of decentralized energy supply systems, earning his doctorate in this subject area in 2002. Since then, he has headed the Fuel Cell and Systems Technology division of the Center for Fuel Cell Technology ZBT in Duisburg, where he was responsible for the development of bipolar plates, stacks and fuel cell systems. Since September 2020, Peter Beckhaus has been managing director of the institute.
