He works on innovative alloy concepts for brazing and coating materials. He defended his diploma thesis on the topic: \""Contribution to the characterization of the melting behavior of Fe-V-Nb-C alloys\""in 2012. Already during his mechanical engineering studies with a focus on manufacturing technology and machine tool design he investigated the machinability of wear protection coatings."
